Chinese Brush Painting
Huang Wen is 91 years old. She began painting in earnest when she turned 80 years old. She paints four hours daily. She has participated and won awards in many art shows. A sample of her Chinese brush paintings is presented here at the Absolute Gallery, representing the three categories: Scenery, Birds and Flowers, People and Animals. She learns and practices her artistic skills and presentation under three master painters.
She lives independently in Taiwan. She leads a full life every waking moment. She is loving and caring to all. She is mentally sharp, adventurous, and always content. She does various Oriental mind and body exercises each day before dawn. She was brought up in the traditional cultural heritage where art is a required element of a well-rounded education. She lives by the guiding principle of “gratitude is the fountain of happiness.”
