Alan Kidd :

Alan Kidd lives in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He was a founder, and for many years Creative Director of Sany Corporation in Troy, Michigan. His education was at the University of Michigan and Harvard University and he has received art training at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Kidd is represented in a number of private collections.

Kidd concentrates on abstract paintings and works primarily in the acrylic medium on paper. He is very concerned with texture and frequently combines mixed media and collage elements with his acrylics. He likes to work with primary colors and often turns out paintings that are predominantly reds or blues. His paintings are not directed at any social or psychological themes but are intended for pleasurable and challenging long-term viewing.
